Q.Do you require insurance?

A.Yes, we do require all tenants insure their stored goods. Our storage office offers insurance through a third party (SBOATI) that you can conveniently pay with your storage rent or you can bring in proof of insurance (IE. Declarations page) when completing the rental paperwork.

Q.Do you allow storage for businesses as well as household and personal items?

A.Here at Mount Vernon, we offer a wide range of storage for your personal, as well as business use.

Q.Do you offer rental trucks, or help in moving belongings?

A.We offer on-site U-Haul rentals 7 days a week, with pick up during office hours and drop off during or after office hours. U-Haul also has a web site that finds local movers to assist you.

Q.Do you have boxes for sale?

A.We sell boxes, as well as multiple moving supplies for your packing and moving needs.

Q.How secure is your facility?

A.We have a security fence around the entire property, and a computer controlled gate with coded access. We also have on-site management (the managers live on the facility for added security). The management makes security rounds several times throughout the day and evening. We also have a multiple camera surveillance system throughout the facility that records all activities 24/7, as well as numerous lights. All units on the facility are checked daily, for the protection of your property and a peace of mind.

Q.What kind of doors do you have on your units?

A.The larger units have large roll up doors (which are garage type doors) and the interior units have large household swing doors.

Q.Do we have to provide our own locks?

A.We offer top grade locks that cannot be easily cut, for sale at our office.

Q.Do you have storage for parking?

A.Parking is available for vehicle ranging from motorcycles to large semi-trucks. There are outside spaces ranging from 30 to 80 ft. We also have covered parking spaces ranging from 30 to 40ft, as well as 12 X 30 completely enclosed parking spaces. Some spaces have electrical hookup.

Q.How easy is it to access the units?

A.All of the units are easily accessed at ground level; you are able to drive up to the door for loading and unloading. Our drive aisles are all extra wide for large moving trucks to fit.

Q.What are your hours for access?

A.Our office hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm (Monday - Friday), 9:00am To 5:00pm (Saturday), and 10:30am to 5:00pm (Sundays). The gate access hours are from 6:00am to 10:00pm (Daily).

Q.Am I able to make a reservation for the unit?

A.You can make a reservation at any time in person, over the phone, or on our website with the 1st months rent. The unit will be held for you for up to 7 days in advance; the payment is then applied to your unit upon move in.

Q.What are the rental requirements for your facility?

A.Here at Mount Vernon Self Storage, we strive to make your time with us as easy and painless as possible. For your protection, as well as ours, we require a photo ID and a month-to-month signed rental agreement. For all vehicles, we also require a copy of proof of ownership and insurance. There is a one-time $10.00 admissions fee with each unit.

Q.Is there a deposit required, and what kind of notice do you have to give to vacate?

A.There is no deposit required for your unit here. We do require a ten-day written notice of intent to vacate. We require that all units are cleaned and swept before being vacated.

Q.What sizes do you offer?

A.We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your storage needs, ranging from 5 X 5s to 10 X 45s.
